This program sets management VPs on a course for success while helping Sum Capital Partners grow in line with our Core Values. Successful MVPs spend one to three years progressing through the three-stage program. Advancement is based on the balance of performance, skillset, and the availability of opportunities at existing companies and newly acquired businesses.

Stage Zero: Internship

This intensive 3-month program is designed to throw you into the deep end, providing hands-on exposure to real-world investment and business operations. As an intern at Sum Capital Partners, you’ll work directly with our leadership team in Singapore, gaining experience in investment analysis, deal execution, and operational strategy within our portfolio companies. Expect to tackle challenges across strategy, sales, finance, HR, and technology, developing sharp business acumen while making a tangible impact from day one.

Stage One: Business Manager (BM)

This stage provides the Business Manager (BM) with the opportunity to work directly with our leadership team in Singapore. During this phase, the BM will be immersed in investment analysis, deal execution, and hands-on operational work with our portfolio companies, tackling key challenges in strategy, sales, finance, HR, and technology. The goal is to develop sharp business acumen while driving real impact within our investments.

Stage Two: Senior Leader (SL)

In this stage, the BM transitions into a Senior Leadership role within one of our portfolio companies. Working closely with the CEO, the SL takes on direct operating responsibility, leading teams, executing growth strategies, and driving business performance. This is a critical phase where leadership, decision-making, and business transformation skills are tested and refined.

Stage Three: CEO

At this stage, the SL steps up as the CEO of a portfolio company, taking full ownership of its strategy, operations, and long-term growth. This is the final step in the program, where leaders are given the reins to run a business with the full backing of Sum Capital Partners, ensuring sustainable success while scaling the company’s impact in the market.
